At Tombo Den – Chris Lucas’ latest venture – lighting is key to shaping a memorable dining experience. The Japanese restaurant’s sleek yet tactile, design elements — from the rich textures of the furnishings to the soft glow of the ambient lighting — were carefully selected to engage the senses and immerse guests in a unique dining experience.
The bar areas are back-lit using Folio’s Opal 10L in RGBW. The slim edge-lit panels allows for full modularity and soft colour blends to create the required moody atmosphere.
Located in Windsor, Melbourne’s south-east suburb, the space is a must-see including local artist Tom Blachford’s large-scale AI-generated Japanese film noir photography-style works hang on the walls, depicting the dark, brooding mood of late-night Tokyo.
